Once again I am catching up with my blog. Construction at Island Rest has accelerated recently and we managed to get the roof on in the wettest season we could possibly have tried to. Not ideal, but the roofers from Tim Knight Ltd were keen and efficient delivering a quality job. We opted for a Sika Sarnafil system which I think has proven to give us the best quality membrane roof we could have wished for. It looks great, is a good colour and most importantly keeps the rain out!! https://gbr.sarnafil.sika.com/content/united_kingdom/sarnafil/en/new-builds.html
Swiftly after the roof was completed the team from Pure Green installed the PV's as efficiently as they claim to be in saving me energy. After a bit of re-arrangement we have located them as to provide the least visual impact from the North looking South. Time will tell if we will be successful. Unfortunately I was not aware that they would be weighed down with yellow concrete blocks, which will definitely need to be painted to mitigate the visual pollution!
